Some Days in a small
Paradise (Real Shangrirla). For the third time we stayed
in Waterfall Resort at Rumtek. This time Garden was
blooming in every corner, wonderful. The houses are more
and more developed. Waterfall Resort is a ongoing
process to the better and its state now is: very good
kitchen + under graceful surveillance of Madam, Bikash
is master cook! After the trek to Gocha-la, this was the
prefect chill out. Thanks to your hospitality! We will
come for the 4th time, surely.

I truly enjoyed my stay – so rich and peaceful days
in your beautiful Resort. – The visual beauty of the
many blooming flowers and trees that witness you love
for nature and the hours of work madam put in the
garden. The fantastic view from the hilltop where
Santosh guided me through the bush. The long walk and
interesting talk with Deepak showing me the Lepcha
village. The sound of water, the birds singing, the
school kids on there way. And not last, the good home
cooking of madams and Jeevan. All this -and then our
talks around the dinner table where you taught me about
the Sikkim way of life and our warmth make me stay
longer one day after the other and I hope to be back
again!

The place was very beautiful and lovely The food was
good. The waterfall and fish tank and Dogs were superb.

It’s the only place that I can remember having stayed 10
days since a long time…a little taste of Paradise for
sure!! But one as to love even this place…

Almost at the end of vacations I could not think of a
better place to rest quietly before returning home. The
mountain, the plants, the birds, the food and the
beautiful smile of the people will be always in my
memory.
